ALE adds new calling method for Teams users

Paris, France, January 22, 2024 – Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, networking and cloud solutions tailored to customers’ industries, has announced it has completed the compatibility certification with Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway. The certified ALE SIP devices are from the Myriad series, including M3, M5, M7 and M8.

The compatibility of the products enables users to make or receive Teams calls on ALE’s SIP devices, achieving seamless integration of business deskphones and cloud communications, and provides users with a unified communication experience while maximising existing investments.

Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway supports multiple simultaneous calls from compatible SIP devices. Adding the ALE Myriad series deskphones has enriched the range of calling methods available when using Teams. Users can:

• Join or invite other SIP users to Teams meetings using their ALE deskphones;
• Hold/resume and mute/unmute the call or conference;
• Transfer/forward calls;
• Consult or set Teams users’ DND (Do Not Disturb) status from an ALE SIP phone;
• Enjoy the voice mail and message waiting indicator features.
